A Walk in Rain
Its all monsoonal outside my window and raining!!!!! I can hear the thunder and also the rain drops falling on the asphalt :)
I am myself drenched as I had a long walk in rain today and so
refreshed that I am smiling to myself alone in the house. It was a really natural experience soothing the heart.
When I started walking from my office it was just little drizzle n just after five minutes it started raining cats n dogs :p Though I had an Umbrella withing moments I was wet, saving my handbag from rain I got shelter below a huge tree. I had put on my earphones and was listening to music at the same time which was playing awesome songs like "tu hi mera from Jannat 2, Ghode jaise chaal hathi jaisi dum, Dhunki Dhunki lage, Bahoon ke darmiyaan etc...." to name a few which lit up my mood full on Yo Yo Yo....
I was not alone under the tree. 2 cows, one Dog, three human beings and two auto wallas were giving me a company. :P I was observing the water flowing down from everywhere. From the skies, on the road, from the tree branches, on my umbrella, water was flowing. Everything felt so serene and beautiful that for a moment it felt like trance. The world around didn't seem like a real one.
The honking and smoking roads had gone silent and clean. Trees had taken a bath and were all shining like new shoots. I saw little faces of rats peeking from the drainage coverings and birds in hugs of each other. Also, there was natural music coming from the sharp blowing winds and thundering clouds.
As the rain subsided a bit, I resumed my walk towards the bus stop, it is a good 3kms walk from my office. On the way I could smell along the beautiful coming from the wet grass and the damp soil. I bet no perfume brand can beat this combination. I jumped in the little water canals flowing along like a Kid and felt the inner smile coming on my face. Picked a leaf from the footpath and made it flow. I remembered my childhood days when we used to make paper boats and used to float them in rain water.
Nature reveals itself in rain like a bride coming out of parda. Such an awesome sight to look at. Bangalore has this special gift of sexy weather which changes colors like a chameleon and I just love this rainy color. By the time I reached office I had picked up handful of hot pakoras which I finished at a go. Sorry for not sharing.
The whole walk experience was marvelous thing like galloping in mother nature's lap. It was like a beehive when I reached the bus stop and when the bus came it became like a war. I tripped broke my chappal, my hand got scratched and my earphones were in the verge of tearing apart. Forget getting seat, so i went and sat in the space behind the driver's cabin. And the radio played "Guncha Koi mere naam kar diya, saki ne fir se mera jaam bahar diya..." I looked out of the window and saw the wonders passing. Somewhere some truck is stuck into mud hole, Somewhere a beautiful couple walking hand in hand, children playing in rain, an aunty hiding below her umbrella and cars running with closed windows.
Rain has different perceptions for different people. Some take it as nature's gift and some feel its' a curse. But for me its like the best thing that ever happens to me. I go crazily happy in rain. No matter how bad my day must have gone the moment I see rain coming all worries and pain go out of the window. It also inspires me that the seasons of life keeps changing but, you should learn to dance with all the reasons. Rainbow in rain to me is like depicting all shades of my life which I welcome always with open arms.
Now I am home cherishing my walk in rain looking at the rain outside the window, sipping sweet corn soup and humming a poetry which I made to call rain.. it goes like this....
